What is interesting is this sentence written by William Kennedy to David Greiner "Improvement and changes in this area are something that the team and I are definitely considering for the future. Does this mean that after Outlook 2010 Microsoft and the Office team are ready to make Outlook compatible with the latest web standards? We can hope so, but we should probably not have any illusions. Microsoft's priority will remain that its products remain compatible with each other. It is hard to imagine that an email sent from Outlook 2007 or Outlook 2010 will not be displayed correctly in a hypothetical Outlook 2012.
