Graphicmail interview: "MailMoSo" to integrate email, mobile and social in one

As we announced, we are inaugurating a cycle of interviews with the various emailing platforms. For this first edition, we welcome GraphicMail.

Can you give us a brief history of GraphicMail France? When was the platform founded, by whom, and has the business model evolved since the beginning?

GraphicMail was founded 10 years ago by 3 young entrepreneurs, American, South African and Dutch. The email marketing platform has grown rapidly and is now present in over 20 countries and 11 languages. The functionalities are constantly evolving to adapt to customer demands and stay at the forefront of email marketing.

What makes GraphicMail unique? What sets you apart from other players in this highly competitive market?

  •  We offer more than 100 newsletter templates, which are very popular with customers
  • The platform is easy to use (even easier in 2013 with the launch of a new editor)
  • The support is personalized and responsive.
  • We regularly launch new features (sometimes at the request of customers) to allow our customers to stay on the cutting edge
  • Our prices are competitive and flexible for specific needs
  • GraphicMail is an emailing and sms campaign solution
  • We offer an interesting solution for agencies
  • Finally, we have a very good deliverability rate (98% on average).

What are the challenges for you in the coming months in the emailing world?

  •  Develop social email, weave links between emailing and social networks.
  • Adapting messages to mobile reading
  • Tools to collect information and target messages more precisely according to target and behavior
  • Still, deliverability, ISPs modifying their filtering criteria and tightening their practices, whether on the impact of complaints, the hygiene of the base or behavioral

What are the next evolutions of your platform?

We will soon launch a tool that allows to validate the addresses before sending, in order to clean the bases and maximize the deliverability, it is a bestseller in most countries, soon available in France.

GraphicMail will also allow for the complete integration of email, mobile and social in a single block, the "MailMoSo" in order to plan marketing campaigns via email, sms & social networks on PC, mobile and Ipad.

Geolocation and browser statistics, mobile device type, PC and iPad will also be increasingly important to consider.

Do you offer your customers a "Freemium" mode (free version with reduced features)?

Yes, we offer a Freemium mode up to 200 shipments per month and up to 10.000 per month for associations (ASBL & Loi 1901).

If yes, what do you get out of it? If not, why not use this model?

Freemium allows you to test the platform and discover the different features at your own pace. It also gives the possibility to small clubs and associations to send free mailings and to discover a tool they might not have thought of.

What do you think of the French emailing market? Is it mature or is there still room for new innovations?

A lot of players, a lot of new ones, proof that there must still be room on the market!

Of course there is still room for innovation. Email marketing should be more and more targeted, we will no longer talk about mass mailings but personalized mailings, according to the profile but also the behavior and the location.
