We are not going to make the complete tour of this emailing because there is a lot to say, the goal of the Badsender of the week is not to make a complete analysis of the emailing!
In this newsletter, the objective is clearly to fill theaters of the UGC group. To achieve this goal, the newsletter promises to discover the new releases of the week, probably in connection with the favorite cinema of the Internet user ...
Objective missed?
... probably the favorite cinema because below the sentence "Your favorite cinemas" ... nothing, a white space followed by a banner with one of the movies of the week. And unfortunately, only one movie of the week ... while 8 new movies were released in UGC theaters this Wednesday.
Missed objective also from the subject of the email (On display from 19/12/2012 to 25/12/2012) which could have contained film titles and been much more catchy, such as: In theatres today, Ernest and Celestine, So Undercover, Life of Pi, ...
A change of object would already have a huge influence on the results... and don't say that it is complicated to implement.
400 pixels before the subject line promise is displayed, there is a lot of unnecessary space at the top of the email, which reduces the effectiveness of the email. There is also no summary of the movie, nor a call to action ... again, simple elements to optimize ... and there would be many more to cite.
