Goodsender of the week: The Elysée newsletter ... and yes, it can happen!

Comme vous le savez peut-être si vous suivez ce site depuis longtemps, les Goodsenders ne sont pas légion ! Et si en plus on parle de François Hollande dont la quote de popularité n’est pas vraiment au beau fixe, cela donne un mélange … étonnant. Et cette newsletter de l’Élysée est vraiment étonnante … parce qu’elle est merveilleusement bien construite.

Analysis of the newsletter

Positive points

If we take the score of the checklist (see below), we get a very good 5/8! Just for that, we can already applaud this newsletter.
What is also striking is the quality of the information hierarchy. We start with the event of the week, then three secondary information, and finally the complete agenda of the president.
The image-free display is also remarkable, because the header image that takes up a significant amount of space when displayed does not have a forced height in the HTML code. As a result, all the content rises more than 500 pixels! Another important point is that this header image is in fact the "event of the week" ... and when it is not displayed, a stylized alt-tag and a background color have been provided ... it's simply excellent!
Also note: the html code is of high quality and visually the newsletter is very nice.

Negative points

Unfortunately, we are not in front of the perfect email!

The subject of the email is particularly bad since it makes no reference to the content of the email and especially to the event of the week.
The newsletter is very very long because of the agenda. It would have been interesting to take the most important point of each day of the week and to propose a link to see the agenda in detail on the site of the Elysée ... unless it is complicated from a political point of view ...
There is no real call to action in the email (except for the minutes of the Council of Ministers).
