Last week, Signal Spam published a new version of its barometer of spam. This gives us an insight into the evolution of the fight against spam and the work of Signal Spam.
Some info on the data used:
Signal Spam makes its statistics from e-mails reported as spam that have reached the Internet user (i.e. that are delivered to his inbox). Most of the spam (nearly 90%) is detected upstream by the anti-spam tools of the ISPs and email providers, and never reaches the Internet user. The reports made to Signal Spam concern this fraction of spam that reaches Internet users (about 10%), which makes them all the more important for the analysis of the phenomenon and the collective protection.
