I'm always intrigued by the new players, agencies and other consultants gravitating around the emailing world. I had spotted awip on Twitter, a new entrant in the reborn market of HTML integration for email. So, during the email marketing day 2 weeks ago, I had the opportunity to meet Thomas Defossez, founder of awip.

Story of the meeting

Thomas has a background in emailing as he worked for a while at Experian before starting his own web agency. Today, Thomas has decided to return to email to focus on HTML integration for this medium.

awip therefore focuses on email design and tries to bring added value through quality integration. The objective is also to meet the requirements for deliverability with a code optimized for mobile email.

Reading content isn't everything. The best way is to talk to us.

By his own admission, if Thomas decided to start again at 100% in the world of emailing, it's by passion. Today, he receives a lot of subcontracting requests from routers who don't necessarily have in-house production capacities, but who still have requests from their customers.

When we ask Thomas what he thinks of WYSIWYG editors, having tested some of them, he is not sure that they succeed in the challenge of mobile emailing. Especially since companies still need a lot of support in using the templates that are created.

Let's wish him good luck in his new adventures.
