Like every year, the SNCD and one of its members (this time Experian) carry out a study on the perception of email marketing among the general public. Before giving way to the infographic published for the occasion, here are some remarks.
The multi-device usage is constantly increasing (2.2 devices per Internet user on average), even if other studies show that on smartphones in any case, we are probably at the maximum of the email opening shares (around 50% of all openings).
Another important note, in the 2014 study, Internet users reported using 2.5 different email addresses on average. In 2015 this number went down to 2.1. Does this mean that Internet users will refocus on a single email address? Not necessarily, but we can see it as a sign of a simplification in the use of several mailboxes.
