Wow! In the middle of August, we have to get this blog out of its summer torpor. A news like this one, it had to be treated.

At the Email Design Conference hosted by Litmus in Boston, Litmus and Microsoft announced that they will team up to make Microsoft's email products better. Together, they will try to prioritize the various rendering bugs in Microsoft's email products, identify problems faster, and release improvements and fixes to the community. To use Litmus' terms, this is a kind of Feedback Loop of email design 🙂

To reflect the magnitude of the impact this announcement could have, here is the list of Microsoft's top email clients:

  • Outlook (WIN/OSX)
  • Outlook.com
  • Windows 10 Mail
  • Office 365
  • Outlook (iOS + Android)
  • Outlook (WIN 10 Mobile)

An email address is available if you want to make remarks or report bugs: outlook@litmus.com

New Microsoft email clients being tested in Litmus

In addition to the first announcement, Litmus also plans to add new email clients from Microsoft to its inbox rendering tool:

  • Outlook application for iOS
  • Outlook application for Android
  • Outlook application for Windows Phone
  • Windows 10 Mail

These new features should appear soon.
