
The email marketing market continues its transformation. Today it is the American Mailgun which announced that it had acquired its French competitor Mailjet. No price has yet been publicly disclosed.
If the sale price has not been communicated, we can still note that both companies were born in 2010. Since the beginning of its history, Mailjet has managed to raise more than 17 million dollars while Mailgun has raised more than 51 million. In terms of customers, both entities claim to have more than 290,000 customers (130,000 for Mailjet and 160,000 for Mailgun).
In the press release unveiled by Mailgun, it is specified that the objective is to base the future entity on Mailgun's deliverability infrastructure while taking advantage of Mailjet's expertise on the interfaces and the international aspect.
